This is an excellent little book by Trevor Yorke. He covers the origins of Art Deco and its influence on British architecture. Having an Art Deco house of my own, I found the chapter on Art Deco detail particularly useful. It covers all the details you'd want to know about it when maintaining or renovating your home.
The chapter on Art Deco interiors gives a great insight into the decor of the time and is excellent background information when it comes to creating a modern day equivalent interior.
Trevor also supplies a short list of six Art Deco buildings to visit around the country. Some I've already visited and the I'll be jumping in the car to visit the rest very soon!
