The Carreras Cigarette Factory
On the 4th November 1922 King Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered by the English archaeologist Howard Carter. This really caught the public's imagination at the time with pyramids, sphinxes and other ancient Egyptian styling appearing just about everywhere.
The Carreras Cigarette Factory in Camden, London takes some beating as an example of the Egyptian revival architecture that was popular during the earlier years of the Art Deco era.
I'm still on the look out for a suitable modern day interior item that shows off this theme - no luck so far - I'll update this post as soon as I find something!
