Sunburst design gates
Mimicking beams of light radiating from the sun, you'll often find Sunburst designs on Art Deco styled furniture, glass, lamp shades and in the example opposite, gates. In fact, the lamp sitting on my desk has a hexagonal shade with a sunburst motif on each side.
Sunbursts are one of Art Deco's most iconic shapes, representing the dawn of a new modern age.
The mirror below has an almost mechanical looking sunburst design to it, a thoroughly modern take on this particular design feature.
