We think the Belgrave range of sofas and armchairs from John Lewis are spot on for contemporary Art Deco interiors. With a huge range of fabric and size options available you can specify your sofa or armchair to perfectly blend in with your interior.
In fact there's a staggering number of options to chose from including: 178 fabrics, 17 leathers, 5 different sizes and polished metal, dark or light wood legs.
Opt for polished metal feet and a bright vibrant fabric if you want your sofas and armchairs to become a focal point for your room, or dark wood feet and a subdued fabric or leather to avoid them fighting against a particularly prominent rug, carpet or other strongly patterned item. Visit our help page on 'How to create the modern Art Deco look' if you'd like a bit more advise on the subject.
Other features of the range include a kiln dried beech and birch plywood frame, modern proportions, deep foam and feather cushions and a whopping 15 year guarantee.
In fact, you'll find the deep foam and feather cushions particularly supportive and comfortable. It's also worth noting that some of the fabrics have been treated with Aquaclean that allows easy removal of most household stains with water alone - useful if you have an accident with a cocktail or a glass of red wine!
Item Belgrave Grand Four Seat Sofa
Dims. W211 x D85 x H88cm
Budget £££
Designed to seat four people, this is the largest sofa in the range. There's plenty of room to relax while chatting to friends or watching a film. Given its size you'll need to check it's not too dominant in your room, but with enough space and the right specification, this sofa could look stunning as well as offering lots of comfortable seating. Click on the link above that you think best suits your decor and don't forget to visit our design guide if you want a bit more help with the overall look.
Item Belgrave Large Three Seater Sofa
Dims. W191 x D85 x H88cm
Budget £££
This is the mid sized sofa in the range designed to seat three people. It's still large enough to give two people the chance to sprawl out a bit. It comes in all the fabric, leather and leg material options as the rest of the range. The straight edge design makes this range surprisingly space efficient, for example side and console tables can be positioned close to it, hence taking up relatively compact footprint.
Item Belgrave Medium Two Seater Sofa
Dims. W175 x D85 x H88cm
Budget £££
The smallest sofa in the range, perfect if you've got a smaller space or as an accompaniment to one of the lager sized sofas above. It easily fits two and there's plenty or room to spread out if it's just you. This sofa looks ultra contemporary with the Sellvagio Blue Leather and polished metal leg options shown above.
Item Belgrave Snuggler
Dims. W150 x D85 x H88cm
Budget £££
Large arm chair or very small sofa, either way, I'd suggest you know who you're sharing with pretty well if you try to squeeze two on. For one person though there's room enough to curl up. A good option if you don't quite have the room to squeeze in a second or third sofa.
Item Belgrave Armchair
Dims. W100 x D85 x H88cm
Budget £££
The smallest chair in the range, it still has generous modern proportions and is available in all the material options you'll find for the rest of the range. A great option for a modern Art Deco scheme.
Item Belgrave Leather Sofas and Armchairs with Footrest Mechanism
Budget £££
Need to stretch your legs? Most of the Belgrave fabric and leather sofas and armchairs are available with a footrest mechanism. They're more expensive than the regular versions, but for the extra comfort, it might well be worth it. Fabric options are above, we've split out the leather options below.

Finally, the range includes footstools in the usual options, although the fabric with polished feet version appears to be missing for some reason. These are ideal if you need a slightly larger area to rest your feet.
